Our Story

Before there was Discount Pool Supply, there was Alan and Marshall Kideckel, two Toronto boys cleaning pools in the 1980’s. There were no robotic pool cleaners and no fancy equipment, just skimmers and elbow grease.

As the summers went by, the brothers learned their way around pools and hot tubs and had an idea to take on more. With hands-on experience, Alan and Marshall opened their first retail store. Finding early success, they opened another store, and another store. To keep prices low, they took the pool business online, launching Discount Pool Supply, with the promise of making the best pool products available to Canadians everywhere, at the best prices possible.

As the pool business and their families grew, Alan and Marshall’s philosophy remained. Today Discount Pool Supply is a family affair, owned and operated by the brothers and their sons. With over 150 employees, two fulfillment centers, and coast to coast shipping across Canada, Discount Pool Supply is proud to fill backyards with pools and hot tubs that create lasting memories.
